« The Revolution Begins », un nouveau coffret Gil Scott-Heron le 26 novembre

2013 sera marqué par une double actualité discographique pour le regretté Gil Scott-Heron. En attendant la sortie de Nothing New, un album posthume composé de chutes d’I’m New Here, le coffret 3-CDs The Revolution Begins: The Flying Dutchman Masters sera disponible à partir du 26 novembre. Il contiendra l’intégralité des titres composés pour le label Flying Dutchman dans de nouveaux masters, soit le contenu des albums Small Talk at 125th and Lenox (1970), l’éblouissant Pieces Of A Man (1971) et Free Will (1972) ainsi qu’une version alternative de Free Will et un inédit en CD, « Artificialness », enregistré par Bernard « Pretty » Purdie pour son LP Stand By Me, paru en 1971. Ce coffret, dont seule la sortie en format CD est confirmée pour le moment, contiendra des entretiens inédits avec Gil Scott-Heron et Brian Jackson ainsi que des photos rares du génial songwriter disparu l’an dernier.
