Grand admirateur de Donny Hathaway, le musicien français rend un vibrant hommage à l’une de ses idoles dans Ever After, son nouvel album à paraître le 18 mars chez Emarcy/Universal France. Pour ce projet ambitieux qui mèle des compositions personnelles et des reprises de Donny Hathaway, Stephane Belmondo a convié une belle brochette d’amis musiciens américains et français. Sandra Nkake et Gregory Porter donnent de la voix sur « Someday We’ll All Be Free » et sont accompagnés par Jacky Terrasson au Fender Rhodes, Jonathan Blake à la batterie, Kirk Lightsey au piano et Thomas Bramerie à la contrebasse sans oublier un ensemble à cordes dirigé de main de maître par Christophe Larrieu, chef d’orchestre au théâtre du Capitole à Toulouse. Un grand moment.
