146 démos inédites de Stax dans le coffret « Written In Their Soul »

Après le monumental coffret Wattstax paru en début d’année, Stax Records et le label Craft proposeront le 23 juin prochain l’anthologie Written in Their Soul: The Stax Songwriter Demos.

Au programme d’une boxset renfermant 7CDs, 146 démos, versions de travail et autres works in progress majoritairement inédits de titres des Staple Singers (« Respect Yourself »), Luther Ingram (« If Loving You is Wrong (I Don’t Want to Be Right) ») et d’Eddie Floyd, avec le « 634-5789 (Soulsville, USA) » confié à Wilson Pickett, sans oublier une myriade de chansons écrites par les plumes emblématiques du label, dont Isaac Hayes, David Porter et Carla Thomas.
