As part of French TV-channel Arte’s Summer of Soul series, the show Au Coeur de la Nuit (in the heart of the night) offers an unprecedented meeting between legendary P Funk bassist Bootsy Collins and electro funk Warp artist Jamie Lidell in Cincinnati featuring : Space Bass presentations, Rubber Band costumes, geek discussions around vintage recording gear, snippets of “Hollywood Squares” rehearsals, a Cincinnati guided-tour with a stop at the infamous James Brown‘s King Records headquarter, Bootsy on drums and a beautiful gospel duet on Jamie Lidell’s “Another Day”.
