Entamé en 2014, le projet Tribute to My Soul Sisters réunira le 17 novembre Martha High, une des plus fameuses chanteuses de la galaxie James Brown, et Osaka Monaurail, les experts japonais des réinterprétations du catalogue des JB’s.
Au programme, 13 titres-hommages aux soul sisters du clan du Godfather of Soul, dont “Think (About It)”, immortalisé par Lyn Collins, “Mama’s Got a Bag of Her Own”, la réponse d’Anna King à “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag”, “Answer to Mother Popcorn” de Vicki Anderson et “This Is My Story”, déjà interprété par Martha High (tracklisting ci-dessous, disponible en CD et LP, distribution Record Kicks).
